Program Description:
After a brief discussion of general considerations for dogs and cats presenting with cardiac disease, case examples will be used to highlight specific considerations for cardiac procedures, both interventional and surgical. Examples of possible cases may include animals presenting for: atrial cardioversion, pacemaker implantation or revision, pulmonic balloon valvuloplasty, placement of a V clamp and if time allows a brief discussion of anesthesia considerations for valvular repair or replacement using cardiopulmonary bypass.
