Anesthesia for Patients with Comorbidities: Brachycephalics

This webinar will examine the common comorbidity of brachycephalism, and how this affects drug and technique choices and routes. Comorbidities of brachycephalic patients will be discussed. Premedication agents (opioids, sedatives, anti-inflammatories, and anticholinergics), induction agents, continuous rate infusion options are debated and guidelines for mechanical ventilation, intubation, extubation, intraoperative management,and stress reduction are covered in an attempt to guide clinicians and technicians more safely with management of brachycephalic cats and dogs.
