Goals for managing a patient under anesthesia involve solid supportive care consisting of optimizing the patient presurgically, maintaining solid oxygenation, ventilation, thermoregulation, positioning and padding. Optimizing a patient’s blood pressure, glucose, heart rate & oxygen status pre surgically provides solid entry into surgery. These variables will be discussed as they are monitored through surgery, with differentials for problem parameters given so the participant develops a sense of trouble shooting for all patients.
