Program Description:
This course will provide an overview of pre-op, and peri-op management of blunt trauma patients suitable for the general practitioner and technician. Brief discussion of pathophysiology of trauma, concepts of damage control resuscitation, trauma associated coagulopathy, indications for urgent surgery and management of anemia will be presented in a case scenario format.
