This lecture has been RACE approved for 1 CE hour for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
This course covers current emergency stabilization and treatment for canine tracheal collapse as well as a diagnostic and therapeutic plan from an emergency perspective. Additionally, information is provided regarding advanced diagnostics and treatment from specialists’ perspectives as well as advanced treatment options including surgical and endoscopic stenting. Statistical data is provided on all facets of management including median survival times, outcomes/prognosis, and complications.

- Emergency stabilization of the upper airway
- Diagnosing tracheal collapse in the ER and utilizing fluoroscopy and bronchoscopy for grading and identifying comorbidities.
- Short and long term medical management recommendations
- Salvage Procedure: Surgical Stenting
- Salvage Procedures: Endoscopically placed intraluminal stenting
- Statistical Data: MST, Complication rates, outcomes
