Clinical Communication Skills in Veterinary Practice
Course Details
This lecture has been RACE approved for 1.0 CE for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
This presentation will cover the fundamental building blocks for effective clinical communication. We will discuss the evidence that correlates effective communication with medical outcome for our patients, as well as the steps needed for developing and sharpening these skills. The Calgary-Cambridge system will form the framework for our discussion, providing a structured approach to conversations with clients. Participants can expect to have a clear understanding of the skills needed to develop a collaborative style of communication with clients, designed to improve client-veterinarian relationships, leading to improved outcomes for patients and higher client retention rates.
