Course Details

Welcome to the Surgical Sign-off curriculum. Each surgical procedure is organized into a separate section within the course. In order to get signed-off on each procedure, you will need to do the following:

• Complete the essential reading assignments for the surgical procedure
• Read the description of the surgical procedure
• View the surgical video clip(s) for the surgical procedure
• Take the procedure quiz, and obtain a score of 80% or greater. If you don’t pass the first time, don’t worry – you have 2 attempts
• Observe at least 2 procedures by a Surgeon or ER doctor signed-off on the procedure
• Perform 1 procedure while being assisted by a Surgeon or ER doctor signed-off on the procedure
• Perform 1 procedure while being monitored (but not assisted) by a Surgeon or ER doctor signed-off on the procedure
• After completing all of these steps, you will receive your certificate and be considered signed-off on the procedure
• When you complete this process for all procedures, you will have completed the course.
