Locoregional Analgesia and Epidurals

This lecture has been RACE Approved for 2 CE hours of continuing education credit for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

This is a comprehensive seminar which highlight drugs and techniques of administration for local and regional nerve anesthesia. Agents mechanism, doses, clinical uses, as well as pharmacologic characteristics will be presented. Electrolocation, echolocation and blind placement of blocks will be presented using anatomic models and videos. Landmarks including relevant topical musculoskeletal vascular and soft tissues will then be covered for various blockades including epidurals, dentals, axial and appendicular, thoracic and flank anesthesia.
