Producing the Best Thoracic Radiographs
Course Details
This lecture has been RACE approved for 1 CE hour for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
This one hour lecture is designed to expand on knowledge of anatomy and anatomic landmarks, as they relate to positioning for thoracic radiography. This will be accomplished by a brief overview of thoracic anatomy as well as for specific anatomic landmarks that should be assessed on each radiographic view. Special considerations will include altering of protocols and guidelines relative to the clinical situation and to particular patient conformations. Detailed discussion will center around being able to recognize good positioning on lateral and VD views with regard to straightness of positioning, centering and respiratory phase. A smaller amount of time will focus on case examples relevant to the discussed topics.
