Program Description:

Pulse oximetry is vital tool in monitoring patients under anaesthesia and in recovery. Understanding the physiology behind the number means you will be better able to interpret the information gained from it allowing rapid treatment for the patient. There are many myths surrounding pulse oximetry and this lecture will dispel some of the those myths and provide some tips for use through case discussions.
