Dogs and cats speak with their bodies. They are always telling us how they are feeling about a situation with postures and signals. It’s critical that veterinary professionals learn to read the language of their patients in order to understand how they are feeling at any given moment. This knowledge will help prevent bites and scratches to you and your staff but will also help the animals receive quality veterinary care. This lecture reviews all of the postures and signals that dogs and cats use to communicate.
