Trending Modalities in Integrative Pain Management

Program Description:

Pain requires a multimodal treatment plan, which can be effectively supported by various modalities and additional supplementation. This lecture will provide information of promising integrative pain treatment options with focus on their mechanism of action and clinical application for chronic pain management.

Learning Objectives:

• Importance of recognizing an individual response to pain and treatment response based on genetic profile.
• Understanding effectiveness of modalities and supplementation within a multimodal treatment plan and learn about tools to increase ability to assess such effectiveness or lack of.
• Increase knowledge of integrative examples given by understanding their mechanisms of action and limitations (such as pharmacokinetic bioavailability).
