Vestibular Dysfunction: You Can?t Judge a Book by Its Cover

This lecture has been RACE Approved for 1 CE hour of continuing education credit for veterinarians.

This lecture will review the neuroanatomy of the vestibular system and the clinical signs seen when there is dysfunction. Peripheral vs. central and paradoxical cases will be discussed. Videos of numerous clinical cases will be used to demonstrate deficits seen with vestibular dysfunction. The location of the lesion will be determined and work-up options discussed. The pros/cons of radiographs vs. CT vs. MRI when presented with a vestibular case will be reviewed. The work-up, findings, treatment and outcome of the clinical cases presented will be revealed.
