When the Treatment is Toxic

This lecture has been RACE approved for 1.0 CE hour for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Program Description:

This lecture will cover common iatrogenic toxicities encountered during treatment of critically ill patients.

Learning Objectives:

• Students will be able to identify common treatments that are associated with serious side effects of complications
• Students will be able to appropriately select patients who are high risk of complications
• Students will be able to integrate their knowledge of the patient and treatment plan in order to mitigate the risk of toxicity, and to develop individualized, alternative treatment plans when needed
