Open Your Eyes: Advances in Local and Regional Anesthesia for Ocular Procedures

This lecture has been RACE Approved for 1 CE hour for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Objectives:
To cover basic orbital anatomy and innervation
To present new regional anesthesia techniques for ocular procedures that were reported in the recent veterinary literature
Discussed techniques will include: retrobulbar anesthesia, peribulbar anesthesia, sub-Tennon’s anesthesia, and infiltration
Make participants comfortable to engage these techniques in their pain management programs
