Ophthalmic Emergencies: What to Do With the “Check Eye”

This lecture has been RACE Approved for 2 CE hours of continuing education credit for veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

This presentation starts with a brief overview of an ocular examination in emergency setting including “What you are looking at and why you are looking at it.” Followed by a discussion of diagnosis and treatment of common ocular emergencies including corneal ulcers – simple to complicated, anterior uveitis, acute glaucoma, proptosis, lid lacerations, corneal lacerations and penetrating injuries, and anterior lens luxations.
